Day 01- At Our 10-Day Free Handwriting Workshop – A Bright Beginning!

 At Ivaskillshare, we’ve always believed that education becomes meaningful when shared with heart. That’s why we recently conducted a free 10-day handwriting workshop at a Government School near Markaji High School, Warangal — and Day 01 was nothing short of inspiring.


🏫 A Warm Welcome from Class 6 Students

On the first day, we were welcomed by a bright bunch of Class 6 students, their eyes filled with curiosity and excitement. The energy in the room was truly special. Despite the modest setting, their eagerness to learn was heart-touching.


We began with a 2-hour session, carefully planned not just to teach, but to connect and inspire.

💡 Starting with the Basics: Why Handwriting Still Matters

We opened the session with a simple yet powerful question:



> “Why is handwriting still important in today’s digital world?”

The students were surprised — and then amazed — to learn that good handwriting:

Boosts memory and concentration

Builds self-confidence

Reflects personality

Makes academic performance stronger


We could see them nodding along, truly understanding the value of the skill they were about to learn.

✍️ Pen, Pencil, and the Right Grip

Next, we demonstrated how to hold a pen or pencil properly. You’d be surprised how many kids don’t get taught this! Many had never thought about finger position or posture while writing.

  1. We guided them step by step:
  2. How to sit comfortably
  3. How to rest the wrist
  4. How to hold the pencil lightly but with control

They were completely focused, trying to get it just right — some even adjusting their grip again and again until they nailed it!


🔁 The Power of Simple Strokes

Then came the heart of Day 01 — basic strokes.

We introduced them to simple yet powerful strokes:

  1. Standing lines
  2. Sleeping lines
  3. Slanting lines
  4. Curves and loops

We explained that just like how every building needs a strong foundation, good handwriting begins with mastering these strokes.

And guess what? They LOVED it!

Each child was fully engaged, trying the strokes, correcting each other, asking questions, and enjoying every minute. It wasn’t just learning — it was discovery

They were smiling, curious, asking questions, and above all — believing in themselves. Some even came to us after the session and said:
